Election Day 2020
Election Day will be on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, and you can:
- Register to Vote (including Conditional Voter Registration on Election Day and 14 days prior)
- Check Your Voter Registration
- Check Where’s Your Ballot
You’re eligible to vote in California if you are:
- A United States citizen and a resident of California,
- 18 years old or older on Election Day,
- Not currently in state or federal prison or on parole for the conviction of a felony (for more information, please see Voting Rights: Persons with a Criminal History), and
- Not currently found mentally incompetent to vote by a court (for more information, please see Voting Rights: Persons Subject to Conservatorship)
For residents of San Diego County:
If voting by mail:
- Monday, October 5, 2020 from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.: Ballots will be mailed to every registered voters starting on Oct. 5th. Voters can complete and mail their ballot once received.
If voting in-person:
- Monday – Friday, October 5-9, 12-16, 19-23, 26-30, 2020 from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.: Voters can vote early at San Diego Registrar of Voters at 5600 Overland Avenue, San Diego, CA 92123.
- Saturday – Monday, October 31 – November 2, 2020 from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.: Voters can vote early at your polling place or San Diego Registrar of Voters at 5600 Overland Avenue, San Diego, CA 92123.
- Tuesday, November 3, 2020 from 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., Election Day: Voters can vote at your polling place or San Diego Registrar of Voters at 5600 Overland Avenue, San Diego, CA 92123. If you’re in line by 8:00 p.m., you’re still allowed by law to vote.
